WIP: Statement Scarf

This WIP (work in progress) is a scarf in a soft blue yarn that will be nice and warm next winter. There's a matching hat that will come afterward.

The pattern is a free download from Lion Brand Yarn called Statement Scarf. I'm knitting it with Loops & Threads Impeccable yarn in blue moon on size 8 needles. The color did not come out well in the photo.

Despite the size of the needles, this scarf is knitting up quickly. I'm enjoying the pattern. It's an eight-row repeat that's easy to remember, and I'm enjoying the peace that comes from the act of knitting for me.

I highly recommend the Lion Brand Yarn website for free patterns. Some of them are a little strange, but many are good patterns. I can't afford to buy a lot of pattern books, so I get many of my patterns from Lion Brand. Another good place is Yarnspirations.
